Han Guk Kwan

"When it comes to foreign food, the less authentic the better."
Gerald Nachman, ‘San Francisco Chronicle’

Have you ever tried craving for a food and then when you finally indulged with it you lost your interest? Well, it seldom happened to me because I always eat good food. But unfortunately when I craved for Korean dish I want to try other Korean restaurants than stick with the restaurant where I used to dine. And the disaster in my dinner happened. I've searched some blogs about the good Korean restaurants that is within my vicinity and I happened to find a good review about Han Guk Kwan so I decided to dine there together with my boyfriend. The place is so-so a typical Korean restaurant but with minimal decorations compared to other restaurant. And one thing I noticed when we entered, their crews are not that customer-friendly maybe because it's already late in the evening but still for the sense that their restaurant is open for 24 hours then; they should have a lot of energy stored in their body. We ordered only my all-time favorite "galbi" and a tofu soup and take note Korean restaurants have "banchan" about half dozen side dishes served together with your meal. But we got only 4 side dishes that's too bad and take note without kimchi that's a total disaster. Moreover, "galbi" is supposed to be meat that was grilled while you were eating but in there we fried our meat I almost burst in frustration and their service is so low in quality. They are not attentive with the Filipino customers because they focus their attention to Korean customers. My point is that they have business here in the Philippines so they should expect that their big market belongs to the Filipinos.  I really regret not dining with my favorite Korean restaurant. And one thing I learned is that when you give reviews of a certain establishment don't put any "flowery" words that will mislead the readers.

Margarita Family Cuisine

Our anniversary is a time to look back at the good times and a time to look ahead to live our dreams together.
It's our 3rd Anniversary and he treats me to a great dinner date. I don't have any idea where are we going to dine that night but when I asked him about it he just replied with "I've searched a good place to dine in where we can relax." Well, true enough upon arriving at the place I feel a comfort that makes my heart relax it's a fine dining restaurant where the tables and chairs are finely arranged. The attendants are all attentive and customer-friendly, we choose to dine at the restaurant's terrace because it's so cool outside where you can see the beauty of Cebu City, with it's lights, buildings, mountains, sea horizon while feeling its sea breeze and the fireworks from afar. And that was also a great night because of the moonlight but I'm kinda freezing because of the cold wind but thanks to my boyfriend because he let me wear his jacket such a sweet guy! When our food finally arrives, wow! there mixed seafood with century egg soup is a two thumbs up menu and there lemon chicken too which I think will become my boyfriend's favorite dish. In addition to these we also ordered pineapple rice, broccoli chicken and a fruit cocktail which are all superb! It's such a great experienced dining in here but if you don't like the romantic ambiance that they offer at the 9th floor of Robinland Building you can also enjoy their band at the 8th floor while having a dinner. It's a place wrapped in one spectacular dinner experience. And to my boyfriend, thanks for the treat and congratulations to both of us!let's keep our love flowing like a river with God's help.

The Rolling Ball Adventure

When stress strike me my boyfriend always told me to "chill" and I'm also doing the same thing to him. Well, when it comes to chilling out I think the rolling ball adventure is one of the best.

The two of us inside the giant ball
Getting ready. Hop in!
Although, I would say that the whole time the ball was rolling all I did was close my eyes funny of me but it's normal to be scared. And my boyfriend always asked me "are you okay?" because I'm screaming while the ball turned us upside down.
Weeeewww!!!!!
After that I can't walk properly because my feet was still shaking but I'm wearing a big smile because I conquer my fear.
My boyfriend thinking his the strongest man on earth.
We did not only enjoyed the adventure but also the view and the splash when we dived in the swimming pool. And one thing I realize that enjoying your life is a gift that you can always give to yourself.

"Who's next in line?"

Wedding day is the most awaited moment not just for me but also for all the women out there.Certainly, it's the time when you said goodbye to all your singleness escapades and face the other chapter of your life's journey.

I can't help myself but smile and  have a teary eyes when I looked at my friend exchanging vows with her soon to be husband.Life indeed is full of twist, who would have thought that this two would be couple when all we heard from this friend of ours was how he hated her boyfriend. But I guess that's her ways of expressing her love towards him.Beside me at that time was my boyfriend,I looked at him and thought that he was also one of the twists that happened in my life.Well,I'm glad I accepted the challenge of love and I'm happy to know that I did the right thing eventhough our love story was also a twist of fate. The only question hanging on my mind now is"Who's next in line?"funny it was but I can't help myself to throw that question to my other friends and we apparently laugh at it "Who knows?right?".

I'm praying that whoever it is in my circle of friends, hope that she will find the serenity of being married to the one she truly loves.Deep within my heart I knew already that my wedding day will not be complete because I don't have a father anymore but I know that if his still here he wants the best for me;I may not experience the "father-daughter dance" in my wedding but I'll surely have "mother-daughter dance" and that is more than enough for me.

Above all, being married to the man you want to share the rest of your life is a blessing from God that needs to be taken care of.All that matter is how you build your family under God's love. For those who are also thinking about "Who's next in line?" let's not hurry the things and wait the God to write our own wedding day.

Falling in Love? How and Why to Take it Slow

One reason to take it slow is the possibility of turning into a vampire...

"I've done some digging and I've found this one and I think this would be useful for those people who thinks that falling in love is all that matters in their lives. I've learned something from this article hope you do too. -Caress- "

I'm infamous among my friends for going on one or two lovely dates with a man and then declaring he is the person God put on this Earth for me to marry. It’s gotten so bad that my friends now just interpret that line as, “He’s a great guy! I look forward to getting to know him better.” As a person who dives two feet first at the first sign of love, I have some advice for you on how and why you should take it slow when you feel like you’re falling in love.
You could lose yourself—and your friends. In the early stages of falling in love, we often want to spend every waking moment with our new love interest. In doing so, we sometimes neglect our friends and family as well as the hobbies and interests that drew our new love interest to us in the first place. As much as it feels good to be with your love interest as much as possible, you will do yourself and your relationship a favor if you give one another time to be apart. That way, you’ll actually have things to talk about when spend time together. You won’t depend on one another for your entire happiness, because you will each have independent lives. The relationship serves to augment what is already a fulfilling life rather than serving as your reason for being. To keep from losing yourself in the person you’re dating, spend time apart to cultivate your friendships and personal interests.
You could get pregnant. When you’re in love, you sometimes lose touch with reality. You get caught up in the euphoric high of finding someone who excites you physically, emotionally, and intellectually. You want to connect with them in every way possible—and this often means having passionate, dramatic sex. However, being in love does not mean having unprotected sex (no matter how delicious it feels) will not get you pregnant. If you feel yourself falling in love, make sure you ask your partner to get tested, get yourself some contraception, and use it—whether you plan to have sex or not in the near future. I suggest waiting as long as possible (be it two weeks or two months) before having sex, so that you have adequate time to really get to know the person—and to get tested.
You could scare them away. People don’t always fall in love at the same pace. I believe in Sherry Argov’s philosophy that women fall in love by spending time with a man and that men fall in love in a woman’s absence–when they realize how much they miss their woman. Using “in love” language like “The universe brought us together” (one of my favorites) or “We are so getting married” (another favorite of mine) could easily scare your partner away. It’s also important not to let a guy who says these “in love” things trick you into playing along. It’s easy to get caught up in a passionate moment, declare your love and devotion for one another, and then one person be left during the afterglow having second thoughts, like, “Maybe this is moving too fast…” If your partner starts saying dramatic in-love statements, respond with something like, “That means a lot to me that you say that. I’m really excited about where our relationship is going.” It’s honest without luring you into the quicksand terrain of infatuation.
I love love. I think the discovery of love is what makes life worth living, the possibility of love is what motivates people to create art, and the perceived scarcity of love causes nations to wage wars. However, it’s important to realize that the process of falling in love is one that can—in small ways—be managed, so that your love grows over time rather than quickly flaming out.

The Ultimate Guide for Dealing with Ex-Boyfriends and Ex-Girlfriends

An issue that often arises in the early parts of a relationship is whether or not it’s okay to be friends with your ex—or whether it’s okay for your partner to stay friends with an ex. This is a full-length article , so feel free to fast forward to the parts that are relevant to your particular situation.
Before I launch into giving advice, it’s important to get our terms straight.
Key Terms for Dealing with Exes
An Ex: An ex is anyone that you have dated and/or had sex with (or someone you made out with once but really, really wish you had had sex with). The two involved parties will not always have had a title, so you cannot depend on a definition that hinges on the person having been your “girlfriend” or “boyfriend.”
A Friend: A friend is someone you enjoy spending time with, confide in, and can be genuinely happy for when they are in a relationship. A friend is someone whose wedding you can attend without feeling awkward, sad, or angry. You can double date with them, and you do not want to have sex with them.
Staying friends: Staying friends includes such activities as talking and texting on the phone, emailing, hanging out, confiding in one another, and generally having fun together. Friends sit around and do nothing, go out to the movies, go out to dinner, laugh, argue, and cry together.
Getting caught up: Even if your partner does not want to be friends with their ex, there are all kinds of ways they can still be emotionally, physically, and financially involved with their ex. I (and many other people) call this “getting caught up”. Getting caught up includes situations like an ex who continues to contact you (and sometimes your partner), a boyfriend who is financially supporting his ex-girlfriend, and a girlfriend who has to (or chooses to) work on projects at work with her ex. Getting caught up is different from “staying friends” but can be solved in a similar way.
Why do people want to stay friends with their exes?woman-checking-cell-phone-behind-boyfriends-back
I myself have been into this situation:
· The Greedy Diva or The Hedging Dater: The person with a new partner who wants to stay friends with their ex-partner. This is the person who deep down is not completely sure how much they like their new partner or are unsure about how long the new relationship will last. Whether she realizes it or not, the Greedy Diva wants to maintain the relationship with her ex, because this is someone she knows loves her—or at least used to love her…maybe. If it turns out that her new partner does not accept her for who she is, she can always turn to her Naïve Nice Guy for validation (and a quick hook-up).

· The Duped Damsel or The Naïve Nice Guy: The partner to a person who wants to stay friends with their ex-partner. This is the person who is frustrated with their partner’s friendship with their ex but is shy and confused about how to bring up their discomfort with their partner staying friends with an ex. They don’t understand why their new partner feels the need to stay in contact with the person: “Isn’t this the guy who stood you up on your anniversary?” “Isn’t this the woman who broke up with you because your haircut was ugly?” The Duped Damsel and the Naïve Nice Guy often resort to passive aggression out of a feeling of helplessness concerning their partner’s insistence on staying friends with their ex.

614-01433443· The Woman in Waiting or The Side Man: The ex-partner who wants to stay friends with their ex-partner who now has a new partner. This is the person who has not completely gotten over the terminated relationship. He or she will hold on to the relationship—even when their partner has moved on. They convince themselves that they can handle being” just friends” with their ex, but if they got invited to their ex’s wedding, they would have a major freak-out.

But Why Can’t We Be Friends?
If you are the Greedy Diva or the Hedging Dater, do not give me, your partner, or yourself the excuse that you want to stay friends with your ex because they were such a great person you cannot imagine living your life without them. Or that since the two of you separated amicably, there’s no reason you should not be able to stay friends. If you are looking for your life partner, the person you are dating should be the best candidate for a person you cannot live without—not your ex. Staying friends with your ex can jeopardize your relationship in several ways:
· You will be tempted to compare your new partner to your ex-turned-friend. “She didn’t nag me as much.” Or “He always bought me flowers. Why don’t you?” If you are dating someone exclusively, you have forfeited all rights to compare them to other people. (However, if you are dating casually, I encourage you to date several people at one time, and compare them, but keep these comparisons to yourself.)

exasperated-couple· You may be tempted to cheat with this person when the relationship gets difficult or unsatisfying. None of us thinks that we are thieves, but if a delivery guy was standing at your door holding a steamy pre-paid pizza and you’re still starving after having eaten an unsatisfying, wilted salad, you may just let the pizza man believe that he’s at the right house instead of correcting his mistake. That was a long, complicated way of saying that if the circumstances are right, even very “good” people can find themselves in compromising situations.

· You will continue to invest time and energy into a relationship that is not sustainable. You need your friends to confide to about the difficult relationship issues that will inevitably arise. Seeking advice from an ex is not only inappropriate—it’s counterproductive. You are simultaneously bonding with your ex over griping about your current partner as well as building a relationship with someone who might dip at any moment—when they finally see the light and realize they are being the Naïve Nice Guy.
Here’s what you should do depending on if you are…
The Greedy Diva or The Hedging Dater: Release the need to have a “sure bet”. This new relationship may blow up in your face just like the last one—or it could turn into a serious, rewarding, lifelong relationship with your perfect math (of course there are options in between, but ya’ll know I’m dramatic). However, your relationship’s development and growth will always be stunted if you are not fully present in your relationship, if your partner does not feel like you are 100% committed to them, and if you are trying to balance and spread your energy across multiple romantic interests (whether you admit that they are romantic interests are not). When Q asked me to break up with my “17 other boyfriends”, I did so without hesitation because I wanted our relationship to work. You can’t hedge your bets once you’ve said yes to being someone’s boyfriend or girlfriend. Hedging is a great strategy when you’re casually dating, but terrible once you have committed to someone. So, Heding Daters, here is your to-do list:
· Have a frank, concise chat with your ex: “Sasha, I think you’re a great person and you have been a good friend to me. However, I’m really excited about my new relationship, and I don’t want to do anything to jeopardize it, so I’m going to say goodbye now. I wish you all the best in life. Goodbye.” Do not justify yourself to your ex. Do not negotiate with them. Keep it short and get off the phone quickly.
· remove-friendUnfriend them on Facebook. This is an important step. You do not want to tempt yourself to check up on them by reading their feed or tempt them by letting them monitor what you and your partner are up to.
· Remove their number from your phone. We all know how easily drunk dialing can creep up on us. Don’t even give yourself the option.
· Mourn the loss of the friend. Saying goodbye to a friend is not easy, but it must be done if you truly want to move on. If crying, yelling, journaling, etc. will help you truly move past the friendship, do all these things (in private—not in front of your partner). You need to do what it takes to get over this relationship.
· Don’t ever mention them again to your partner. The friendship with your ex is now a distant memory. Do not bring it up with nostalgia like your puppy who died when you were 9. Do not brag about it like the Dad in Married With Children thinking with fondness about being awarded his Heismann trophy. Treat the foregone relationship like a past life as a stripper. It’s something you don’t mention because it has no relevance to who you are today and what you are trying to accomplish.
breakup-dinnerThe Duped Damsel or the Naïve Nice Guy: You deserve to date someone who is 100% committed to you. First, say this to your partner:
“I am really enjoying how our relationship is developing. I think we’re getting closer, and learning more about one another. One thing that is bothering me though is that you are still friends with your ex-girlfriend. I’m not saying she is a bad person, but I want to be your best girl friend. It would mean a lot to me if you would let that relationship go so our relationship can really develop without the noise and interference of past relationships. Is that something you will do for me?”
If your partner insists on staying friends with their ex, you should say:
“Your insistence on staying friends with your ex makes me think that you are not completely over the relationship. If you are not sure about who you really want to be with, I would rather you take the time to figure that out before we take our relationship any further.”
This sounds like an ultimatum, and I guess it kind of is. However, it is something that you have to mean and should not feel “bad” about saying. It’s important that in any relationship you never be afraid to walk away from the relationship if you are not being treated with the respect you deserve. You do not have to be dramatic about it. You are just making it clear that you expect to be treated with a certain level of respect. Do not turn this into an argument. Simply look your partner in the eye, say the two lines above without being accusatory, and change the subject. Your partner will get the point—and you will avoid an argument.
The Woman in Waiting or The Naïve Nice Guy: You deserve to have your own relationship—rather than being the sidekick to someone else’s. The great thing about realizing you are the Woman in Waiting or The Naïve Nice Guy is that you do not really have to say anything to anyone. They will get the message when you drop out of their orbit (and Facebook feed and stop answering their calls). However, if you feel the need to achieve closure, you can say:
“I’ve enjoyed our friendship, but I think that it’s better that we not be friends now that you are in a new relationship. I want you to be happy, and I also want to get on with my life, so I’m going to say goodbye now. Goodbye.”
As I advised the Hedging Dater, do not leave the decision up for discussion. Just like breakups, ending a friendship can be a one-sided decision.
Conclusion
happy-black-coupleThe first few months of a new relationship are often very fragile—even when there are not outside people influencing the relationship. If you are truly serious about seeing if the person you are dating is your life partner, both of you have to be willing to cut out the lovers of your past. As your relationship strengthens and the issues and decisions involved get more complex, you will be relieved that you have one less pair of eyes scrutinizing you and one less voice giving their two cents. Release the past now and commit to making the most of the present. That way, you can say you gave the relationship a fighting chance and your entire effort—instead of hedging your bets, being a doormat, or being the stand-by.

When God made YOU -Dadie-

Never in my wildest thoughts I think of falling in love because I believe that I have another way that awaits for me. I always think that when I look into men it will be a sin that's why I don't give engaging in a relationship such a big deal in my life. So, I close my heart for any possibilities of loving anyone other than myself. But,really God is full of surprises it comes when you least expect it,it knocks on your heart when you close it and it embraces you when your no one to turn to. I found more than a friend in YOU,I found myself giving my heart to YOU when it's almost impossible to do so.And I found the LOVE that God keeps telling us.I found it in YOU. I want to share this message to you.......

Its always been a mystery to me,
How two hearts can come together,
And love can last forever.
But now that I have found you I believe,
That a miracle has come when God sends the perfect one.
So gone are all my questions about why,
And i've never been so sure of anything in my life

Oh I wonder what God was thinking, when he created you.
I wonder if He knew everything I would need,
Because he made all my dreams come true.
When God made you, He must have been thinking about me.

Ooo ooo,I promise that wherever you may go, wherever life may lead you,
With all my heart I'll be there too.
And from this moment on I want you to know,
I'll let nothing come between us, and I will love the ones you love.

So gone are all my questions about why :about why

Oh I wonder what God was thinking when he created you,
I wonder if He knew everythi'n I would need,
Because He made all my dreams come true.
When God made you He must've been thinking about me.

He made the sun He made the moon,
To harmonize a perfect tune,
One can't do without the other they just have to be together.
And that is how I know its true,
Your for me and i'm for you and my world
Just cant be right without you in my life

He must have heard every prayer I've been praying
I've been praying He must've knew everything I would need

When God made you, He must've been thinking about me.
