Last September 10 is my boyfriend's 23rd birthday and since its holiday we were able to plan it together with our closest friends where to celebrate it. Last year, we celebrate it in a cozy place but this year we are into "fishy" birthday. Since my boyfriend knew already where to celebrate his birthday then,its not a surprise anymore but me and one of our closest friends in college plan to surprise him by decorating the cottage the night before his birthday and making it more lively for tomorrow's event.
DAY - 1 September 9
We arrived late at the place and so, we didn't waste any time and started decorating the place. The wind at the pond brought a chilling feeling on our skin but it does not stop us from performing our purpose there.
And after having a hard time pumping air into the balloons, putting up the birthday banner and making them secured in there respective places we were happy to see the result.
Our meeting time was 7:30 in the morning and after we were all gathered in the meeting place we went off to 'D POND Cebu Fishing located at Lilo-an. I was not able to see clearly the beauty of the said place when we went there to decorate but with the broad daylight I am truly amazed of this fishing place. It was well-maintained and the crews serving us were very accommodating and friendly having a big smile for everyone.
And the place have a spacious parking area for everyone.

After a few minutes resting on our cottage we decided to start fishing so that we can have a grilled milkfish (bangus) for our lunch.
Since, its my first time to try fishing I really have fun as well as my girl friends. After a while I realized that fishing is not that easy it takes patience and endurance for this kind of activity.
And what made us burst into laughter was when Jen first caught a fish and we don't know how to hold it.

In order to draw near the fishes in our baits we need to give them feeds and lure them while they are eating.
When we were all hungry we decided to stop fishing and let the crews grilled the six fishes we've caught. Funny but we were not that fortunate to be able to catch a lot maybe because we don't know yet the techniques in fishing but after lunch we promise to take revenge on the fishes and will be able to catch more.
Aside from fishes, 'D POND also offered different varieties of seafoods they have squid,crabs and oysters. It depends on you on how you wanted these foods to be cooked. And of course, we didn't forget to sing a "happy birthday" song to the celebrant which is very happy that we were able to organize his birthday celebration.

Upon seeing our pictures together I can't help but remembered a phrase in a certain book that says "it is better to walk in this arduous journey with few loyal friends than to walk with many but unfaithful friends."
While Emman devoured the oysters, me, Jen and Honey ate the cake that Jay-ar sliced to our heart's content.

After having our lunch we decided to indulge ourselves in boating which is one of the facilities offered by the 'D POND. We were thinking that will be able to catch a lot of fish in the middle of the pond.
But when it drizzled we decided to go back to our cottage and continue fishing in a different location.

The attendant taught us that the bait should not be big it must look like a grain of feeds so that we can lure the fishes. When the night covered the whole place we decided to go home because of the chilling wind in the pond. It was really a wonderful experienced and we were still talking about our own experiences in catching fishes while going home. We dropped by at Honey's apartment to have our dinner before going home. And we started the non-stop talking about our escapades during college days which once again burst us all into laughter. It's a day full of laughter and a fun-filled birthday for Jay-ar! Till next year's birthday!
